Pumpkin Pickin' With My Punkin'

A couple of weeks ago we headed out to Aplin Farms with friends to go pumpkin picking and take some family photos. I was especially excited when I saw fields upon fields of sunflowers. You are even allowed to pick them for free if you go on the hay ride. Score! We decided to skip on the corn maze as it was quite warm for being this late in fall, so babywearing was not an option, and the path was less than conducive for a stroller.

My favorite picture from the day

All in all, we still had a great time. Not only did we take home arm fulls of sunflowers and pumpkins, we also took home a memory card full of pictures, including lots of me and Lucy!

Yup. That's me and my beautiful baby.

I am so thankful to have pictures of the two of us; they are really few and far between since I am usually behind the camera. Lucy really enjoyed the sunflowers. She kept grabbing at them as we walked past them, and every once in a while she was fast enough to shove a few petals in her mouth.

"I found one, Daddy!"

We still haven't carved our pumpkin yet, but I'm hoping to get to that soon.

  1. Stunning photos and Lucy, what a perfect dress!

We don't have the whole pumpkin tradition here in Australia but it sure is appealing !
